The town of Hampton Falls has a rich history. Early residents tended to work in the timber industry or on farms. Three dams on the river provided power for early 18th century river mills. Dodge Mill, which is located at 27 Kensington Road, was built in 1765. The town was also home to John Greenleaf Whittier, who summered in the town. As a result, Whittier Pond is named after him. A fantastic read
