Hampstead NH Historical Society
The Hampstead NH Historical Society is a great place to learn more about the town’s history. They are always on the lookout for new members and artifacts that relate to Hampstead’s past. You are also encouraged to attend their monthly meetings, held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Hampstead Museum. To find out more, read on.
The Hampstead NH Historical Society is located in the Historic Library Museum on Main Street. The Society collects and organizes artifacts and documents dating back to 1749. The Society’s collection also includes hand-written sermons written by the town’s first pastor. Another interesting collection is the school’s history, including the town’s first public high school. There is even an entire collection of 3 by 5 index cards that detail the lives of every Hampstead, NH resident who served in the World War II. A great post
